UNIT OVERVIEW
Essential Question: How much is your money worth?
Duration of Study:  January 22 - January 31
Specific Emphasis:  Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism

During this unit we will focus broadly on the subject of buying power.  What is buying power?  How much buying power do you have?  How significantly can the buying power of a person or group affect the larger society? 

We will think about buying power in the context of different socio-economic systems (the management of people, work, production, and wealth).  How do different socio-economic systems affect the buying power of individuals and groups?  The three systems we will uncover this unit are capitalism, socialism, and communism.
